V day is over...

i just realised i did not blog about Valentine's day, whooooaaaa, why arr... cus nothing fancy happen that day, that's why! jeeeeeez! hahaha... i sounded so pissed kan, cus as usual no flowers, no card, no chocolatey, no candy, no diamond rings, no greetings even... cus i married a cina ahpek! sheeeeeeesssh! and also cus lil missy caught the fever bug on Valentine's day, so we all end up resting at home, but she is all well now ;)

u ask me if i regret marrying this cina ahpek? i gotta admit, there are times when i do think twice about our marriage when we have our arguments, but then again no marriage is perfect, we all have our ups & downs, both party gotta work for the happiness and longevity of it, don't you think so? u don't get prince charming trotting down the park with a shiny armour on a black beauty what! that only happens in fairy tales! but then again, we do hear or read about real life fairy tales happening in our modern society sometimes, but still, those love birds gotta work it, for a happy ending ever after....

i was a bit upset though, and envied my office mates who received huge bouquet of flowers sent over to office by their beloved declaring their utmost love and attention to their wife / girlfriend. my boss told me, why sent to office? why not give their wife or gf face to face? i said errr... to make the girlfriend envied by others mah, for them to feel proud mah or there is no one at home to receive the flowers lah, the wife / girlfriend is at work! hehe... my boss just shook his head, he is the man who doesn't believe in spending ridiculous amount of money just on Valentine's day, he said if he wants to send his wife flowers, he could do it any other day wor...

as for me, im still upset. hahahahaha... so naive isn't it, so kiddo-like, grow up man! eeessssh! i miss the feelings of receiving flowers u know. the goosebumps all over your skin, the linger of cold sweat, the trembling hands, the crazy wide smile all over the face, the happy thots, the utterly crazy happy feeling... gosh, those where the days! when i was still single and available (ehem!) during my hotel working years, i used to get flowers sent to me, once by an anonymous guy, till today, i don't know how he even look like, we only spoke on the phone. then there was once i received 3 bouquet of flowers at the same day, which was on my birthday! those were the days-lah! gosh, lemme brag for awhile ok, then u can smack my head after that! hahahaha...

oh well, now i can only think back & smile silly to myself that once i was so appreciated with flowers. don't get me wrong, i do get appreciated now, by my hubby dearest, not in the flowery way though. throughout our courtship days, he sent me flowers only 3 times, the last was for a marriage proposal, 99 stalks of roses with 4 big sunflowers! gosh! now? he appreciate me more in the "domestic" way. hahahahaha... he is by far, the only guy i know, who can tolerate my nonsense, my stubborn cow-like mind, my super laser mouth, my whatever nonsense-lah!

i remembered when i was preggers with lil missy, he was the one who clean the house, sweep & mop the floor everyday, cus he knows im a clean freak. im sure many other hubbies do that as well, hehe! and he does everything that i asked of him to do, is that love ar? or is that just a gesture to stop the nagging wife? hahahahahaha... gotta give him credit-lah... that is love isn't it, if he doesn't love me, he would not bothered to do it kan? oh well, dunno what's wrong with me to come up with this post, probably im currently high on my flu meds, a bit blurry, highly, and extremely sleepy! monday blues... im singing the blues... tired la, from our trip yesterday to the highland which will be entirely on another post! gotta go sleep and hug my hubs now, hehe!

Wabbit CNY @ 2011

this year, we had quite a normal CNY celebration, don't know why, probably im getting older, and lazier, so it was just an OK-lah CNY... but of course with food, food and more food, it never stops! for the kids, it was of course awesome, with the all the ang pao, junk food, fizzy drinks and fire crackers, shiok ler!

as for our reunion lunch at my parents' home,
mom cooked up some super duper yummy-licious
food, especially her killer sambal prawns *drool*

we were playing fire crackers almost every nite,
lou sang every nite, eat and eat only...

my best buddy, ms sotong & hubby came back from leeds,
for their annual cny holidays at home sweet home
and we got to spend some quality time together... *miss her*

overall, it was overall a good CNY celebrated
with family and friends :)

happy birthday daddy!

it was hubs' birthday, days before cny came along, so what hubs didn't expect happened and he is loving it! i have it all planned out already a week before his birthday, nothing fancy, just a small gathering for hubs' birthday. first of all, i bbm his buddy, uncle Robert to check out the cake for me, and we already have the place in mind to celebrate this happy occasion. a lil cafe by kota laksamana in malacca, which really have a cold cafe concept on it's 1st floor of the shops, cosy and nice. they serve what any other kopitiam serves but the plus point it, they have a fabulous hang out place :)

on the day itself when we reached malacca, i told hubs that i wanna buy him a nice dinner, just the 3 of us, me, hubs & lil missy, and he agreed without suspecting anything. the whole nite i was already busy bbm-ing uncle Robert about this & that. we reached the cafe, the whole of 1st floor was empty cus it was kinda still early for the yamcha crowds to arrive. so there were only 3 of us, and we carry on ordering food as per normal

then my youngest bro in law appeared at scene with hubs' twin brother! i panic a bit, as hubs was asking how come they came also, i said "oh i told titi to bring ur twin bro over, his birthday also mah"... yikes! so 5 of us, sitting down, chit a chat, enjoying our dinner and suddenly, the whole gang showed up, eventually u can see hubs already grinning till kenot see his eyes, like ah pek only. soon it was all laughter, chit chatting all the way. we had a lovely cake too :)

the night before we surprised him in KL too, with our close frens & ms sotong who just came back from Leeds, over a green tea-red bean cake, it was nice, a bit tad sweet though, but as long as the birthday boy is happy, is all worth it!

a "not" so lazy weekend

cny is coming, it's a "bugs bunny" year, so let's get pregnant! hahaha... i'm kidding. just a silent prayer, not so silent now ey, ignore me, i'm a bit crazy. anyway, during one of those lazy-yeah-baby-no-need-to-work weekends, we had an impromptu drive to genting o.O

the day started of by crashing to the mines mall

for a lepak session, can't recall why

we went to the mines for. hehehe!

after our lunch, we popped by to feed the fish,

which was forbidden, but we did it anyway,

siap went 7-11 to buy a loaf of gardenia bread

after feeding the fishes, off we go to the rooftop, where they have this

splash park FOC for the little ones. always wanted to go, but never

really had the chance or we were too lazy. lil missy had a great time

running around, and we the adults just sat by the side to chit-a-chat :)

then it was time to head home, cus everyone was

getting lazy and tired. when we got home, we decided

to laze around by the poolside and hence this

then our close frens whom happened also to be our neighbour suggested we drive up to genting highland. so we all got home to get ready, a bit of rest, and off we go. firstly our frens dropped us off at ampang park for dinner as they have a wedding to attend that very night. so left me, hubs & lil missy having a quiet dinner by oldtown, and our frens picked us up around 10pm

it was a nice drive up, at first i thought it would be a scary drive up to genting cus being so late already and all, but i was wrong. there was so many cars going up that very night. probably cus it was the 1st weekend school started so less crowd? i was wrong again! we parked at resort world to have a cuppa at the coffee bean, only to find that it was so fully packed, people mountain people sea, queuing right to the door step! i managed to even joke with the baristas, as they were so tensed up, hahahahaha... poor fellas!

it was so darn cold, and i got to find out the next day, the temp was 14degrees! wahseh, no wonder it was freezing, it was awesome! hahaha. lil missy enjoyed herself so much she zonked out on our way back to kl after spending few hours up there. it was truly enjoyable, hope we will get to do more impromptu trips like this. hehehehe...

do you discipline your kids?

that was the question mix.fm DJ duo was asking on air today morning. it's a very interesting subject, and a very funny one too, when u get the public to call in to feedback. one guy called up and said that he was spank during his younger days, and now that he is a father of his boys, he never wanted them to get spanking like he did. the DJs asked him, so how are your kids? he answered "monsters"... hahahahahaha! then they all laughed, ending the conversation with they guy saying "ok, I'm gonna whack them when they are monsters"... hahahaha!

actually, its very subjective to parents, whether they wanna use the soft side or the cane, yeah? for me, i boil easily, so it's the cane or THE HAND. i tell you, when lil missy go all whiny & become monster, i don't give face wan, even in public. though embarrassed, but who the heck cares, she is my kid, and if i don't discipline her, who will? correct? i remembered when i was younger, me & my brother always get whack cus we were always fighting day & night, i know it droves my parents crazy! hehe... now i'm getting it... hu hu hu...

my cousin sis is a classic, she would have all sorts of colors, you know those balloon sticks? then when her boys misbehave outside, she will then look them in the face and asked them, which color you want, i let you choose when we get home ok? waaaaah, classic wei! hahahahahaha!

i always try not to show "the hand" or "the cane" but sometimes, it just makes me go nuts when lil missy misbehave. why can't my child be an angel? if she is always obedient & sit still, i would worry then wouldn't i? haha... esh esh... then right after i spank her, i will regret, aiyaaaah! breath in breath out... this will always forever be a debate on child discipline

a brand new year

how was your new year? betcha it was awesome right? 2011 and rabbit is coming, did you make any new year resolution? i don't normally do any resolution cus i know i will fail *faint* our new year's eve was spend in Jonker street, Malacca, mom wanted to see the singing show going on to usher the new year, so we all went there to squat till countdown. hahaha!

then the unexpected happened. i ter-kick the steel leg of those big market umbrellas, did not see where I was going, lil missy was in front of me, thank God I was the one who got into this mess and it was not her, if not worse. Skin peeled off, whole chunk below my 1st toe, its was bloody sight. thank GOD my brother's girlfriend who is a nurse by profession, at that time was beside me. so she got my dad to buy a bottle of mineral water, and some plaster. she then cleaned my wound in the middle of the walkway and made me feel all better, but i was still in pain :(

and u know the first thing that came across my mind when i saw the wound, i was like "oh crap, how to do CNY pedicure lah?!" my mom wanted to slap me already, hahahahaha! for now the wound has entirely dried up & getting better, so looks like i still can go for a session of pedi :)
