I also dunno leh, most probably I'm afraid that the hospital would

be overwhelming with mothers in labour? haha... what a funny thot...

or maybe I was too anxious to have my baby out to meet us? so we

have decided to come in earlier to induce and have our baby!

the induce machine... ooooh scary!

the Big Bad Wolf booksale

the much anticipated event that i've been waiting for (besides the arrival of my baby of cos) is the big bad wolf booksale which is still currently on going now in MAEPS, Serdang! last year's wolfie sale was good, so PLEASE MAKE UR WAY THERE this year! no regrets! only a hole in ur pocket nia... hahaha... but it's a good hole made, for the love of reading, and really really really cheap books!

me & hubs took a day off from work to attend this booksale on the 1st day. after sending the lil missy to the kindy, off we went for a good breakie before heading to the booksale venue. we reached MAEPS around 945am, took the shuttle bus which landed us directly in front of Hall A, where we saw a queue was already formed. thank goodness it was a fast queue, if not, i sure damn pekchek edi standing and waiting with my current condition *ehem*

Recently right, I'm into ribena drinks. maybe this is the only so called healthy-chilled-sweet drink which I can drink without any guilt, hehehe! the day before I bought a bottle in Heritage Mines mini market for rm2.80. the next day i bought a bottle in cold storage klcc for rm3.29! such big difference lah! i thot supermarket suppose to sell cheaper? no meh? so mini market's stuff is cheaper? i also dunno la... blur me...

anyway, it's been so long since I last blog. i have been eye-ing for a dollhouse for lil missy, for her birthday gift. she turn 4 years old recently. no big birthday bash, just simple celebration in her kindy & another one with close frens. in my journey to buy a peng, leng & cheng (cheap, nice, and shiok!) dollhouse... i come across a few, and the below nearly end up being lil missy's...

this hello kitty cost about RM189.90
crazy leh... so small only...

this one cost about rm129.95, hmmm...

but i ended up buying this super cool wooden nice dollhouse from a nearby Mr DIY shop for RM89.00 inclusive of furniture. solid wood, very nice... but i'm thinking in letting go this babe, i wanna sell if off cheaper cus im retaining the furniture :)

i was down with sore throat, no voice, cough, flu giler, right after CNY. it was really really bad. thank God i am better now. so one of those weekend before i got better, we went back to my hometown, to so call recuperate lah! i will always get better when i'm being pampered by my parents. sigh... now to think back, how am i gonna move on without them in future o.O sigh... im such a big baby... uuuwaaaaaa!

once i got back, dad started his
operation "green apples"

the fruit juicer that dad still uses, i think it is older than me! hahahahaha... hence lil missy's reaction towards it... when dad started juicing the apples, it's like a war zone in the house cus it was really noisy! the juicer is really good, easy to use, but the washing part... aiyah!

then i was also being feed
some chinese medicine herbal
drink, which is so bitter... eeeeuggghhh!

and mom feed me these for 2 days,
she said it will help, dunno how true
sometimes i feel, the bird nest industry,
is being exploited, is it that good for us?

i have yet to blog about our trip to genting! lazy me. that post is coming, right after this one! i'm a bit excited about this post, cus it's our darling your royal highness princess lil missy's birthday! hahaha... our pride, our joy has just celebrated her 4 year old birthday! time flies, time flies!

if you realised those cute jCo baby donuts, i bought 2 boxes of those, to serve as a birthday cake for her in skool! hahaha... bad bad mommy here, made a last minute decision to let her celebrate in skool that's why, end up can't find any cake, daddy suggested these cute donuts. well, it work wonders! something out of the norm mah, rite? hehe...

she has about 21 classmates in her kindy, so i was thinking to do party packs for the kiddos. and again, daddy oh wise daddy suggested we buy something more useful than 'junks'... hehe! so we end up buying 22 of these cute cases, with pencils, sharpener, eraser, ruler & a book of stickers each for the kids. and i'm sure they love it, cus i got a call right after the party from the principal asking where i got those nice gifts... hehehe... my sekret place!

we got her a cool gift this time, i must say i myself love it very much! nothing expensive to the core, we can't afford it anyway... it was a red doll house, solid wood! if you are my buddies in fb, u would know that i'm on a doll house hunting spree. and thanks to Barb's advise, i got this good looking house from mr DIY near my housing area!

on her birthday, we popped by over to IOI mall,

come dinner time, we meet up with sue & her family,

over in station 1 to have a simple dinner

together with our neighbour buddy,

to celebrate lil missy's birthday over a small

lil cake! i promised her a proper cake! haha..

we planned to check out petrosains in klcc, but the lazy bug attacked us and we end up not going anywhere the next day after lil missy's birthday. hehehe... petrosains next next weekend, any takers? the more the merrier eh... i'm just happy that lil missy is happy, i'm happy that i have celebrate her birthday in style... hahaha... kidding kidding, just simple, just US ^_^

morning started bad with lil missy, as usual she is not a morning person, just like her daddy. and when one gets cranky, the other gets worked up, and hell break loose. shout here & there, lil missy kept quiet straight away. sigh. not healthy at all with all the shouting *smack own head* trying ones' best to shudup and not shout when angry o.O

with a flu and it never seems to go away... right after CNY i was struck-ed by really really bad sore throat till i had no voice, and i was on whispering mode for almost 2 weeks. imagine no shouting at home for 2 weeks, heaven for the hubs & lil missy. hehehe... hubs even joked to lil missy "see mummy, no voice, kenot shout ah"... mangkok fella

then right after i have back my beautiful voice (ahem!), then the cough came. wahpiangwei! i did not have good sleep night after night cus i was practically coughing till wee hours in the morning. i slept in the 2nd room, away from hubs & lil missy worried they might caught the damn bug. then the cough got better... come pulak the flu. dammmmmmmit!

now my face has red patches below my nose, cus i was making "wanton" every now & then. i look awful, i look like shit. sigh... dear God, please make me well again, i really can't take it anymore. 3 weeks is enough to test my body. please please please go away stopid flu, on another note, i hope i lose weight though :)

i just realised i did not blog about Valentine's day, whooooaaaa, why arr... cus nothing fancy happen that day, that's why! jeeeeeez! hahaha... i sounded so pissed kan, cus as usual no flowers, no card, no chocolatey, no candy, no diamond rings, no greetings even... cus i married a cina ahpek! sheeeeeeesssh! and also cus lil missy caught the fever bug on Valentine's day, so we all end up resting at home, but she is all well now ;)

u ask me if i regret marrying this cina ahpek? i gotta admit, there are times when i do think twice about our marriage when we have our arguments, but then again no marriage is perfect, we all have our ups & downs, both party gotta work for the happiness and longevity of it, don't you think so? u don't get prince charming trotting down the park with a shiny armour on a black beauty what! that only happens in fairy tales! but then again, we do hear or read about real life fairy tales happening in our modern society sometimes, but still, those love birds gotta work it, for a happy ending ever after....

i was a bit upset though, and envied my office mates who received huge bouquet of flowers sent over to office by their beloved declaring their utmost love and attention to their wife / girlfriend. my boss told me, why sent to office? why not give their wife or gf face to face? i said errr... to make the girlfriend envied by others mah, for them to feel proud mah or there is no one at home to receive the flowers lah, the wife / girlfriend is at work! hehe... my boss just shook his head, he is the man who doesn't believe in spending ridiculous amount of money just on Valentine's day, he said if he wants to send his wife flowers, he could do it any other day wor...

as for me, im still upset. hahahahaha... so naive isn't it, so kiddo-like, grow up man! eeessssh! i miss the feelings of receiving flowers u know. the goosebumps all over your skin, the linger of cold sweat, the trembling hands, the crazy wide smile all over the face, the happy thots, the utterly crazy happy feeling... gosh, those where the days! when i was still single and available (ehem!) during my hotel working years, i used to get flowers sent to me, once by an anonymous guy, till today, i don't know how he even look like, we only spoke on the phone. then there was once i received 3 bouquet of flowers at the same day, which was on my birthday! those were the days-lah! gosh, lemme brag for awhile ok, then u can smack my head after that! hahahaha...

oh well, now i can only think back & smile silly to myself that once i was so appreciated with flowers. don't get me wrong, i do get appreciated now, by my hubby dearest, not in the flowery way though. throughout our courtship days, he sent me flowers only 3 times, the last was for a marriage proposal, 99 stalks of roses with 4 big sunflowers! gosh! now? he appreciate me more in the "domestic" way. hahahahaha... he is by far, the only guy i know, who can tolerate my nonsense, my stubborn cow-like mind, my super laser mouth, my whatever nonsense-lah!

i remembered when i was preggers with lil missy, he was the one who clean the house, sweep & mop the floor everyday, cus he knows im a clean freak. im sure many other hubbies do that as well, hehe! and he does everything that i asked of him to do, is that love ar? or is that just a gesture to stop the nagging wife? hahahahahaha... gotta give him credit-lah... that is love isn't it, if he doesn't love me, he would not bothered to do it kan? oh well, dunno what's wrong with me to come up with this post, probably im currently high on my flu meds, a bit blurry, highly, and extremely sleepy! monday blues... im singing the blues... tired la, from our trip yesterday to the highland which will be entirely on another post! gotta go sleep and hug my hubs now, hehe!

this year, we had quite a normal CNY celebration, don't know why, probably im getting older, and lazier, so it was just an OK-lah CNY... but of course with food, food and more food, it never stops! for the kids, it was of course awesome, with the all the ang pao, junk food, fizzy drinks and fire crackers, shiok ler!

food, especially her killer sambal prawns *drool*

we were playing fire crackers almost every nite,
lou sang every nite, eat and eat only...

my best buddy, ms sotong & hubby came back from leeds,
for their annual cny holidays at home sweet home
and we got to spend some quality time together... *miss her*

overall, it was overall a good CNY celebrated
with family and friends :)

it was hubs' birthday, days before cny came along, so what hubs didn't expect happened and he is loving it! i have it all planned out already a week before his birthday, nothing fancy, just a small gathering for hubs' birthday. first of all, i bbm his buddy, uncle Robert to check out the cake for me, and we already have the place in mind to celebrate this happy occasion. a lil cafe by kota laksamana in malacca, which really have a cold cafe concept on it's 1st floor of the shops, cosy and nice. they serve what any other kopitiam serves but the plus point it, they have a fabulous hang out place :)

on the day itself when we reached malacca, i told hubs that i wanna buy him a nice dinner, just the 3 of us, me, hubs & lil missy, and he agreed without suspecting anything. the whole nite i was already busy bbm-ing uncle Robert about this & that. we reached the cafe, the whole of 1st floor was empty cus it was kinda still early for the yamcha crowds to arrive. so there were only 3 of us, and we carry on ordering food as per normal

then my youngest bro in law appeared at scene with hubs' twin brother! i panic a bit, as hubs was asking how come they came also, i said "oh i told titi to bring ur twin bro over, his birthday also mah"... yikes! so 5 of us, sitting down, chit a chat, enjoying our dinner and suddenly, the whole gang showed up, eventually u can see hubs already grinning till kenot see his eyes, like ah pek only. soon it was all laughter, chit chatting all the way. we had a lovely cake too :)

the night before we surprised him in KL too, with our close frens & ms sotong who just came back from Leeds, over a green tea-red bean cake, it was nice, a bit tad sweet though, but as long as the birthday boy is happy, is all worth it!

a "not" so lazy weekend

cny is coming, it's a "bugs bunny" year, so let's get pregnant! hahaha... i'm kidding. just a silent prayer, not so silent now ey, ignore me, i'm a bit crazy. anyway, during one of those lazy-yeah-baby-no-need-to-work weekends, we had an impromptu drive to genting o.O

the day started of by crashing to the mines mall

for a lepak session, can't recall why

we went to the mines for. hehehe!

after our lunch, we popped by to feed the fish,

which was forbidden, but we did it anyway,

siap went 7-11 to buy a loaf of gardenia bread

after feeding the fishes, off we go to the rooftop, where they have this

splash park FOC for the little ones. always wanted to go, but never

really had the chance or we were too lazy. lil missy had a great time

running around, and we the adults just sat by the side to chit-a-chat :)

then it was time to head home, cus everyone was

getting lazy and tired. when we got home, we decided

to laze around by the poolside and hence this

wonderful picture taken! just love this shot!

then our close frens whom happened also to be our neighbour suggested we drive up to genting highland. so we all got home to get ready, a bit of rest, and off we go. firstly our frens dropped us off at ampang park for dinner as they have a wedding to attend that very night. so left me, hubs & lil missy having a quiet dinner by oldtown, and our frens picked us up around 10pm

it was a nice drive up, at first i thought it would be a scary drive up to genting cus being so late already and all, but i was wrong. there was so many cars going up that very night. probably cus it was the 1st weekend school started so less crowd? i was wrong again! we parked at resort world to have a cuppa at the coffee bean, only to find that it was so fully packed, people mountain people sea, queuing right to the door step! i managed to even joke with the baristas, as they were so tensed up, hahahahaha... poor fellas!

it was so darn cold, and i got to find out the next day, the temp was 14degrees! wahseh, no wonder it was freezing, it was awesome! hahaha. lil missy enjoyed herself so much she zonked out on our way back to kl after spending few hours up there. it was truly enjoyable, hope we will get to do more impromptu trips like this. hehehehe...

that was the question mix.fm DJ duo was asking on air today morning. it's a very interesting subject, and a very funny one too, when u get the public to call in to feedback. one guy called up and said that he was spank during his younger days, and now that he is a father of his boys, he never wanted them to get spanking like he did. the DJs asked him, so how are your kids? he answered "monsters"... hahahahahaha! then they all laughed, ending the conversation with they guy saying "ok, I'm gonna whack them when they are monsters"... hahahaha!

actually, its very subjective to parents, whether they wanna use the soft side or the cane, yeah? for me, i boil easily, so it's the cane or THE HAND. i tell you, when lil missy go all whiny & become monster, i don't give face wan, even in public. though embarrassed, but who the heck cares, she is my kid, and if i don't discipline her, who will? correct? i remembered when i was younger, me & my brother always get whack cus we were always fighting day & night, i know it droves my parents crazy! hehe... now i'm getting it... hu hu hu...

my cousin sis is a classic, she would have all sorts of colors, you know those balloon sticks? then when her boys misbehave outside, she will then look them in the face and asked them, which color you want, i let you choose when we get home ok? waaaaah, classic wei! hahahahahaha!

i always try not to show "the hand" or "the cane" but sometimes, it just makes me go nuts when lil missy misbehave. why can't my child be an angel? if she is always obedient & sit still, i would worry then wouldn't i? haha... esh esh... then right after i spank her, i will regret, aiyaaaah! breath in breath out... this will always forever be a debate on child discipline

a brand new year

how was your new year? betcha it was awesome right? 2011 and rabbit is coming, did you make any new year resolution? i don't normally do any resolution cus i know i will fail *faint* our new year's eve was spend in Jonker street, Malacca, mom wanted to see the singing show going on to usher the new year, so we all went there to squat till countdown. hahaha!

then the unexpected happened. i ter-kick the steel leg of those big market umbrellas, did not see where I was going, lil missy was in front of me, thank God I was the one who got into this mess and it was not her, if not worse. Skin peeled off, whole chunk below my 1st toe, its was bloody sight. thank GOD my brother's girlfriend who is a nurse by profession, at that time was beside me. so she got my dad to buy a bottle of mineral water, and some plaster. she then cleaned my wound in the middle of the walkway and made me feel all better, but i was still in pain :(

and u know the first thing that came across my mind when i saw the wound, i was like "oh crap, how to do CNY pedicure lah?!" my mom wanted to slap me already, hahahahaha! for now the wound has entirely dried up & getting better, so looks like i still can go for a session of pedi :)

anyone who is close to me, knows that i just simply love to eat! so to encounter bad food once awhile sure got wan lah! i encountered earlier this week, a bad experience for myself, bad luck lah! puuuuiiit! make me tension only, must be the hormones, and i was also very tired from a day of work & lil missy whining doesn't ease the situation too!

i really wanna vomit blood!

chicken was bloody, rice was cold

i was there together with my bro-in-law & family for dinner, there were 6 of us. the rest of the food ordered was ok & yummy except mine! dammit! i ordered the above, and it came cold, chicken was not thoroughly cook, i still can see the blood. the more i force myself to finish the food, i just can't swallow it and i left it. my mistake was i did not complain on the spot

when settling the bill, i point it out to the manager on duty, he mentioned why i did not complain earlier, they can change a new set for me. i told him why rice was cold, chicken not cook, so lousy wan, u know what he answered me "oh this is our best seller!" what the fark! best seller? kanasai, can come tell me that statement at the moment like this. it's like telling a fella who has just lost something precious, aiyah it's ok lah, go buy another one which that fella can't... u know what i mean lah. blady hell, damn boh-kam-wan! our bill came up to rm110plus, not to say we can't afford, no need to give statement like this ooooooooooook!

i will probably go back to this chain of cafe to try out their desserts, but definitely NOT this branch in mines mall, mangkooooooooooook! sigh, ok steam is all out, let's move on!

Grandma's bday @ Dec2010

last weekend, the usual every year function, everyone from my in laws' side will gather from near & far to attend grandma's birthday dinner. and it feels like chinese new year at in laws' home cus it will be packed, and talking about chinese new year, gosh i can't waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait! it's coming!

Treasure hunt to JB @ 4.12.10

earlier this month, i joined our company's yearly treasure hunt event again, last year was lovely Pangkor, this time was "flashback to the 80s" to Johor Bahru. we had an early start, flagged of from USJ at 7.30am and the whole hunt took 9 hours if i recalled properly, all the way from KL - Nilai - Melaka end touched down in Johor :)

the highlight of the trip was we took a wrong turn towards woodlands toll into Singapore at the last tulip, and got stuck with the traffic into Singapore! and all these happened without any of us having passport with us! everyone was in panicky mode already, and thank GOD there was a little road repair going on & hubs took a u-turn and we were heading back to Malaysia! gosh, talk about the right timing man! dang! when we turned back & passed by msia custom, he demanded for passport, and all of us laughed. we explained ourself & the officer's turn to laugh pulak! aiks! malu siot! he then asked for our ICs & we were save! hubs was telling imagine we didn't get to u-turn, we probably end up dead meat in singapore's lokap!

we ended up in the hotel just in time to hand over our
answer sheets. what a relief! and we were all dead
tired from the hunt, and poor hubby of mine,
drove from morning to evening non stop... kecian-nye
but it was fun lah!

we anticipated food hunt as well ourselves,
how to resist the good food in melaka
we wanted to bring along our frens
to various food places, but time is precious!

after having dinner in hotel, 2 group of hunters
went ronda-ronda to look for more food
simple yet yummy!

after our breakie in hotel the next morning,
we head back to melaka as our frens wanna
go have lunch in the chicken rice ball shop again!
so here we go!

after our lunch, we drove to jonker street area in
melaka & have a nice cendol under the tree :) overall
this was a fun trip though very tiring, we all had fun,
ate a lot, and hubs said he drove for 800km!

i have been coaxing lil missy in watching
the trailer for TANGLED... after so long,
finally! a real "knight in the shining
armor" kind of animation hits the cinema
well almost "knight in shining armor" that is!

i always love these kind of animation movie,
be it like beauty & the beast, sleeping beauty
to name a few... (^^p)

i just can't wait for it, hope lil missy will
want to watch this, in a peaceful manner
at the big big teevee *cold sweat*

concert time!

"warning - shiok sendiri post ahead"

our lil missy had her 1st concert last saturday over at her kindy. it was done just in front of her kindy, a low cost event, nothing fancy like doing over in big halls or malls. oh well, small scale pun small scale lah... as long as my princess did well in her performance!

when i was given the concert schedule by her teacher, i was told she is involved in 3 performances, one of them being a solo performance, her reciting 2 rhymes. on that day, she did 5 performances! wahlaowei, i think they not enuf of student lar! or my lil missy too noty edi :)

her 1st performance was a Happy Day dance, she came out so cute with her 2 braided ponytails, holding a big card, dancing along... she looked so happy, smiling till kenot see her eyes!

her 2nd performance was a Fashion show, this shocked me man! she came out as the 2nd couple wearing the cutest pink cheong sam i ever saw in my life! hahahahaha! im just making that up, pardon me again! with 2 huge flowers on each side of her hair. gosh, can see she was somehow blushing from the catwalk *ehem*

her 3rd performance was a dance from 2 rhymes. again with her smile-till-kenot-see-eyes, she was happily dancing away, gosh so proud of her!

now the next performance, which was her 4th one, it the main highlight event for us, cus it was her SOLO performance. she had to recite 2 short rhymes, with a short introduction of herself which goes like this

my name is krystal ....
i am 3 years old
tonight, i will present 2 rhymes to all of you
then her 2 rhymes starts...

the only thing i was upset was the sound system was quite bad, and her mike was not adjusted properly for her, and then no one signal her to start. i was almost near to tears when i see her standing alone up there stunned. then i slowly signaled her to start seeing that no teachers are doing so, can't blame them, they were going nuts arranging the kids for next performance. ultimately my lil missy done well, she finished her performance nicely. she has the guts for a 3 year old. i don't remember me doing this when i was 3, i probably cried! gosh, she has done us so proud!

then she had time to rest, run around for the finale. the goodbye song with the a big group of kids. and that was it! the after concert was a bit havoc, cus all parents were like ready to race to the stage to grab their kids. luckily the MC did well, kept announcing to all parents that kids pick-up goes by age, do not rush and scares off your kids! hahaha... kancheong spiders all :)

overall i would say the concert went well, kudos to the teachers for the job well done, i will be always amaze how the teachers could train so young kids to do performance, and not 1 kid, but a group of kids. salute to the teachers!

about buying books that is! but nothing beats this reading cat! i got to meet this meow & his super cute lil prince. didn't manage to snap a picture of the cute lil fella as i was like kancheong spider already looking at the books. thanks to BBW yesterday night, i got to attend the preview sale, so no need to squeeze like mad with bigger crowd as it was only less than 100 ppl around for the preview sale. so it was such a bliss with no one pushing, no noise, complete silent of excitement in one-self! amitabha! can imagine the crowd go nuts when they see the books here!

we always hear live life to the fullest, how do we do that? do everything we want today, no need to think about future or the consequences? spend the money we have now, no need to save for rainy days, cus you never know what will happen tomorrow? pretty hard huh?! i guess we still have to think about future, rite? no way we can do anything we like, with the family commitment, with the responsibilities we have...

recently my uncle passed away, and the whole family was there to support my uncle's family. sometimes, event like this brings family together, agree? though sad, but in a way it brings the family closer and together for hard times like this. we will all move on when the day comes, so be happy while we are still alive & kicking (note to self!)

on the happier note, lil missy is having her 1st concert next weekend & we are super anxious & excited for her! woohooo! she not only has 1 performance, but 3... yeah baby, 3 performances! siao leh, and i have to pay more for the costumes! @#$@#@! she has 1 solo & 2 group performances! waaaaaaaaaaah! i hope she do well on that day! i pray i pray!

other than prepping her everyday for her concert, she has been very "manja". she will whine & cries for the slightest thing, and we really behtahan at her behavior. lately she has been crying every morning when we send her to kindy, her teacher said it's just a phase, normal thingy but we are really so stressed up every morning waking her up for school! o-m-g, please let this be JUST a growing up phase! aaaaaaaaauuummmm!

am i having mid-life crisis? hahaha... i dunno, i think im having the-normal-irene-crisis. on & off i will feel crappy, donno if because of PMS or just plain sampat-ness on my end. i feel like my life has no excitement. tell me, what's the purpose of our lives? see see... im asking mangkok question again, what the hell is wrong with me!!!!!!

my hubs said i don't spend time with my lil missy. i know, and i feel like i'm the worst mom around. not loving her enuf, not spending time with her, only know how to shout at her when she did something notty or wrong. i just don't have the time! i will normally reach home around 7.30pm and that is considered early already, if not sometimes 8pm.

once i'm at home, the first thing i do is to boil water. then wash the bottles, refill drinkable water. then put in the dirty laundry, then pack lil missy's bag for school next day, her extra clothing for the daycare. then after that, pick this up, pick that up, sit down to eat dinner. luckily we catered food, so we only need to cook the rice, which hubs diligently does it everyday, thank you iloveyou! after dinner, i will wash everything, and anything. after eating, i will sweep & mop the floor, oh before i forget, in between sweeping & mopping, i will bring in the dry clothes and folds them. once i'm done with mopping, i will go to bath

after bathing, let's not forget, washing machine done washing our clothes, time for hanging. once done hanging the clothes for drying, i will look at the clock, and it will shows 11.30pm. if i'm lucky, it will show 10.30pm. i see... now i know why i just don't have the time to play with lil missy... hmmm... my time management, lousy! aaaaaaaarggggh!

everyday i do the same thing at home. everyone goes thru the same thing, i know, but i'm just damn damn bored with the same old routine. i know i know, i gotta be thankful, i got food on the table, a home to clean up, a lil missy to shout at, a hubs whom helps me with lil missy BUT i just need to rant! makes me feel better... i dunno if i can cope with 2nd baby, but i really want a another baby for us :)

oh well, enuf ranting, life goes on...

i first found out about the mph event in midvalley via rachel's post on her fb wall. it was shouting to all october birthday babies, so i'm one, why not. i then emailed mph & got a reply later saying i'm the 1st 100 person chosen. whoaaaa... never thot i was gonna get in, should have register my brother's name, as he is an october baby too o.O

we were required to be in mph midvalley
on the 10/10/10 by 9am to register
ourself... aiyoyo... so early!

it was a small celebration among the 100
participants & their family
we got a goody bag inclusive of hand carry
luggage bag, magazines,
and free 2 years of MPH membership

then there were speeches, Q&A segment
after all those, the interesting part came
all 100 of us were required to hand pick a cupcake
which has a special token in each of it

red coin - rm1000

yours truly got a gold coin, bleak!
better than nothing lor...
that rm50 now has gone to lunch
at midvalley! poooof!

after the midvalley, we then head home to catch up with some beauty sleep, very much needed sleep. around evening, we popped by to our fren's place to have dinner. lil missy have fun playing with jiejie over at friend's place. hubs was there to help our fren with their laptops and jailbreaking the ifons :) so siapa mau jailbreak ifon?

on friday after work, i rushed home thinking i could not make it already, only to reach our destination just on time! suesue collected the tickets for us, and we just had the right time for daddy to find a miracle parking spot, and us to grab the drinks & popcorn

we went to catch the latest cartoon in cinema, Sammy's Adventures. it was a feel good cartoon for the kids. lil missy didn't really watch with full attention, i think she prefers disney cartoons. me & lil missy is very much looking forward to the new cartoon Tangled, now this would be a cool cartoon to look forward too! after our movie, we head off to a new oldtown nearby to have late supper & to chit chat

the next day was a slow day for us in the morning, as my company is having family day in the afternoon at around 4pm, so we had the whole half day at leisure. we took our own sweet time to lunch, walk around at a nearby mall to kill them & off we go to bukit kiara equestrian club for the company event

the event ended up at 8pm, and we went back with a goody bag. every kid is entitled to a goody bag, no luck with the lucky draw though, 1st prize was rm2000 parkson shopping vouchers! ppppfffffftttt! aaaaaaaaaah... no luck! we then rushed back home, went to have late dinner, went home to clean up, rest a bit & then shoot off to the airport to fetch our neighbour frens whom was coming back from bandung. their flight was delayed much to our dismay, we ended up in mcd killing some time. it was such a tiring day but certainly a good day!

then i got a surprise parcel on my birthday! i won a twilight eclipse soundtrack from a contest from a local radio station which i can't remember! things are the best when you least expect them to be, agree with me? then suesue told me to meet her outside to pass me this! those lovely sweet owl cupcakes! i got these sweet cupcakes when we were out to catch the below movie! what a coincidence ey? hehehehe!

on my actual birthday, we didn't do anything romantic or cool, no diamond rings, no expensive bag, no present :( we just went to the cinema to catch the latest animation movie, Legends of the Guardians. me & hubs enjoyed the show, but lil missy could not sit still, nevertheless we managed to finish the movie in one peace! phew!

after the movie, we head to our neighbour's cosy home just to chill out and we had a sleep-over just for the fun of it. haha! we played some card games, ps3 move which it's kinda cool!

then today we did not even go out till dinner! our neighbour cooked some light lunch and have us over. as usual we hang out the whole day over in their house, went for a swim & later had dinner in the newly open huge oldtown around the neighborhood

i like their new menu, i had their steam chicken rice with mushroom which was yummy, but eating at oldtown is no longer a cheap affair. sigh, oh well... we sempat put in a game or two of uno cards, our latest obsession! i really have a lovely weekend, which we didn't spend a lot, just a little for my birthday celebration, how did i celebrate my birthday on the eve? wait & see...

the 4th day was our last day in bangkok, sad to say... uuuuwaaaaaa, bangkok, we will miss you greatly. woke up around 9am-ish, clean up, and went for our last breakie in baiyoke. after breakie i thought i wanna go do manicure cus didn't have the time to do it the previous days. them i decided not to do it, cus was quite rushing as we need to leave the hotel around 11.30am

so we walked around outside the hotel & have coffee at a nearby black canyon cafe. we only left with 480baht on our last day! hehehe... such a shame man, so paiseh! hahaha! luckily there is a train which cost only 15baht each person to reach airport! save a bit there...

after checked out, the bellboy drove us to the nearest point for the train station as we have heavy luggage with us, using a buggy :) thank God for the help from him, if not we would have suffer lugging our bags and walk 15mins towards the station! oh yeah, we came to bangkok with our bags weighing at 15kg, and going back to malaysia with 26kg, not too bad ey?

upon reaching airport, we took our own sweet time to check in, walked around, and went thru the custom. we have around less than 300baht left for lunch as our flight is only at 3.15pm. so we were pretty lucky as the we could find food for the money we had, just nice! when we board the plane, all i have with me was 0.30baht! no kidding, I'm serious! i basically shop till empty pocket! wahahahahaha... seifor!

aaaaaaaaaaaum! day 3 in bangkok, and i already felt like a pro in shopping! hahahaha! who am i to kid, not enuf money lagi tu! seifor... today we are gonna skip shopping & move on to some sight seeing, but we will be walking around so... even walking around, there are things to buy in every corner! hubs said he needed to blind fold me so i would not stop every time i see something. hahahahhaha! yeah, that bad!

after jason arrived at our hotel, we then started our walking spree to meet up with my cousin & her hubby over in some train station. 1st destination, the Grand Palace. we decided to take the boat instead of a taxi to reach the palace, so it was nice

once we reached the place, my cousin & her hubs got in the palace while me, hubs & jason went to a really nice cafe opposite the Grand Palace to relax. hehehe... i did not visit the palace as i have visited before, in my younger days *ehem*

the weather was killing me softly as it was so damn hot! to be able to find a gorgeous cafe like tis at that hour was a total bliss! so frenchy the cafe, so cosy and the prices was so affordable! u can never find such cafe like this in our country with that kind of pricing

so we started cam-whoring, till my cousin
& johan are done with their visiting

after the cafe, we walked around the area checking the local shops, local crafts... then it was time for lunch & we settled in a small old shop. the noodles served here was yummmmmmmy! and cheap, cheap, cheap!

after our yummy lunch, we decided to move on to kaoshan road, they called it the backpackers' haven. again, soooooooo many things to buy, BUT... i didn't buy anything, cus the lady would not wanna gimme more discount so i also jual mahal! hahaha!

again, we were so tired of walking, and of course the weather, jason took us to a gem place, a nice cosy starbucks outlet in kaoshan road. it's a hidden mansion somewhere behind the shop lots, walk thru an alley and you will find the yellow mansion :)

it's one of the prettiest starbucks in bangkok, one of the prominent ones in the world, probably because of the beautiful traditional thai house. i don't see any traditional in it le, i see it more to of an english house le... cosy & comfy

after our coffee session, time to head back to the city :)

once we reached the town area, we decided to have dinner at the roadside, at a noodle's stall while sipping on coconut drinks. it was already quite late, so my cousin & her hubby head back to their hotel, left 3 of us sitting there deciding where to go next. what else, massage lah! muaaahaahaaa! we went to a nearby massage place, 5mins walk from hotel, we then opt for 1hour of foot massage. it was full house that nite, guess everyone is tired from walking too much huh! hehe... it was so good, we continue for another hour with body massage!

our 2nd day in bkk was a day filled with more walking & shopping of course! woke up around 8.30am. breakfast was included in the hotel room reservation so it was really nice. small cosy lil coffeehouse, but it was full of people, mainly malaysians or singaporeans, a few westerners, and japanese. the breakie served was the usual american & continental food

our fren jason was on his way to meet up at the hotel but we told him we will be walking towards platinum mall, and lets meet there instead. so we head over to platinum mall again! this time i was more prepared & ready to shop till drop! we were at platinum around 10am plus & hubs head straight to black canyon coffee place to wait for jason to arrive. me? busy shopping lor...

platinum mall consist of 6th floors, mostly on woman's clothing, few on kids & man's wear. i spend a good 2-3 hours shopping there and i finally gave up. too many too see, very little money to spend, so i head down to swensen to join the both guys. the swensen here is so affordable & yummy, only around rm5.50 for a scoop of yummy ice cream, and drinking water is served for free! unlike here, drinking water is chargeable everywhere!

after our sweet treat in swensen, i got a call from my cousin who has arrived from belgium together with her husband. so happened they are heading to bkk a day later than us. i have not meet her for few years already since she has moved to taiwan for her studies & then married off to belgium, so it was really nice for us to be able to meet again after so long. my only regret was i did not visit taiwan when she was there, if not free tour guide services! hehe!

we meet over at siam square area, then proceed to check out the retail shops. one particular retail outlet is Boots, which sadly is not available in malaysia. gosh, how i love their botanic stuf. on the 1st day, we spend almost 1800baht and i got a free toiletry bag from Boots which i heart so much. we shud have spend another 200baht and got the bigger toiletry set! my cousin went in and did some toiletries shopping & i bought another big tube of body wash. i just love the smell!

after Boots, we walked around and end up in a nails salon! hehehe... apa lagi, me & my cousin settled in for a pedicure for myself, and manicure for her. it was so affordable compared to kl, how nice if kl has this pricing. the guys end up in the same massage place that we went over on day 1 to have another round of oil massage. life is a bliss in bangkok! hehehe...

after siam square, we decided to head down to chinatown! the trip to chinatown seems like forever, all i can remember is we walked, walked & did more walking, one train station to another, we arrived in chinatown.

then more walking till i really wanna give up, haha! till i saw the big big pintu gerbang, lots of neon lighting, and i know we have arrived! hahaha... and not forgetting the traffic jam!

we then head to a seafood restaurant, which was packed. business is so good here, means only one thing, food must be damn good too! thanks to jason, we got to experience really good thai seafood that night over in chinatown

there were 5 of us with 10 different kind of dishes. there is fish, crabs, prawns, oysters, veges, tomyam & others. it was superduperyummylicious! and guess how much was the meal for 5 of us? 1500baht only! what a good deal rite? you gotta know the right place, with the right food, and the right crowd!

after chinatown, time for us to head back to

i booked our bangkok trip early this year, and have been counting the days since i clicked the submit button at airasiago. i still remember i was chatting with 4 of my friends on msn at one window, doing the holiday booking in another window. this is my 1st time booking my own holiday! hahaha! *shake head*

anyway, our flight was 8.20am in the morning, cus i kiasu, i want to reach bkk early in the morning & start my modus operandi without wasting any minute! hehehehe! we left our home around 5.30am and was driven to the airport by our dear neighbour fren (whom is our close fren b4 he became our neighbour) we reached lcct before 6.30am & did our self check-in & also to check in our luggage. i did not pay for additional luggage on our way there, luckily both the bags was weighing nicely on 15kg cus... the green bag was an empty bag! muaahaahaa!

we reached Suvarnabhumi Airport around 10.30am & was greeted by our close fren Jason. we then took the airport rail link to our hotel baiyoke boutique, and guess how much was the train fare? rm1.50 per person! crazy deal rite? hehehe... think it's still new, that's why the fare still rocks! the journey took around 20mins or so, i didn't really keep track of the time cus i was too happy that im in bangkok! once we reached the station we are heading to, it took us around 10mins walk to our hotel, how nice was that! we are definitely coming back to this hotel if we decide to go bangkok again, as it's very convenient. we checked in & told the receptionist that we will be back for the keys as the room was not ready & left our luggage with the concierge.

we then started to walk around the hotel area, baiyoke sky was just in the front, the tallest tower in bangkok. our 1st destination was platinum mall, which was 15mins walk away. i have seen pictures online how it would look like, what to expect and all so i don't get culture shock, but failed cus i was grinning like a silly cat, and my dear hubs already shaking his head. hahahaha! aitellyou! IT WAS SHOPPING HEAVEN OHMIGOSH! i told hubs & jason that please go ahead and have your lunch, i will proceed with my shopping but of cos, i was dragged to lunch! haha!

we have our lunch at the top floor, where the food court is located. food was of cos yummylicious! after our lunch, i zoomed off to check out the shops. hubs & jason was following me but i shoo-ed them off saying that please let me shop in peace! hahaha... then they disappeared & went to have coffee downstairs. i can go on & on & on about the clothes & shopping but i will bore you, so i shall just skip that part, hehehehe... if you love to shop, please go to bangkok! you will be amazed, but then again, pls plan your trip with a group of girls, cus they are wholesalers here, the more you buy, the cheaper you get per piece! average clothing was from rm10 - rm25, from t-shirts, to blouses, to dresses, to jackets, u name it, they have it!

after few hours spent in platinum mall, we walked towards siam square which i really love. there u will find lots of retails outlets & cafes. we had foot massage here, and hubs had his oil massage for 2 days straight here too! it's so darn affordable! rm30 for an hour of footie massage & rm50 for an hour of oil massage. ladies, if u want your hubs to be happy, bring them to massage and continue your shopping after that! confirm no charcoal face, wakakakakaka! after siam square we then proceed to mbk mall. we only head straight to the gadgets floor, searching for all the foncovers. for my blackberry & hubs' iPhone covers, also for other frens. i was speechless when i saw the place, covers everywhere... walaoweeeeeei! crazy... as usual, when it gets crazy, my mind go freeze mode. hahahaaha! sei mou, failed!

after mbk, we walked around back to siam square & then our fren suggested we head to suan lum nite bazaar. again, shopping... don't you guys get tired, u ask? hahaha... indeed we do, our legs are like breaking, our body so heavy, body so sweaty! it was really very HOT in bangkok! piercing sun right thru your skin, hot hot hot!

aaaaaaah... BUT shopping comes 1st! muaaahaaahaa! there is a huge food court in the middle of the nite bazaar, comes with a big stage with free entertainment with singers & dancers, was too hungry to notice, and it was really loud & i don't understand what they singing lah!

after dinner, we then decided to take a tuk tuk back to our hotel which i think, it was quite a mistake! the tuk tuk driver was confirmed high, so hyper it worries me sick! he was driving so fast my 2 bodyguards was holding to the sidebar like clinging to it! hahahaha... me? i was holding my shopping bags tightly of cos! hehe!

we reached hotel near to 12am plus, took the key from the front desk, head to our room, took our bath & feel FLAT on the bed snoring! yeah... i could hear the man snoring... i was asleep minutes after i closed my eyes, imagine how damn tired we were, walking non stop the whole day, this is more tiring than working man! haha!

so that was our 1st day in one of the amazing land in thailand ;)

it was a public holiday for us, Malaysia day that is. 1Malaysia. any holiday is very welcome! please give us more. hehehe... anyway, we woke up late, laze around and then decided let's take the train to somewhere today, cus lil missy's been pestering us to take her to train since the day i mentioned it to her. kids... they really good at remembering promises huh?!

at first we decided to go to times square mall, cus there is a games area there. those fun kiddy rides, and stuff like that, but this lil missy didn't want to get down from the train and was fussing so we gave in. sigh. and we end up in klcc. haha! holiday also come back to klcc, really no life man, me... esh esh!

anyways, we walked around, drop by to SONY outlet to check out the new nex5 camera, which is a babe. prices also a babe. esh esh. then there this new Playstation move thingy which hubs can't stop talking about. luckily i'm not into games... if not... i dunno man, more money to spend.

we then decided lets go to aquaria since we are already here. its not always we come to klcc all 3 of us, so what the heck. let's check it out. come to think about it again, i could have spend that money to buy the Lego box set i saw in toys R us. sigh... oh well, hubs said we gotta at least go 1 time! just to experience it. Note to self - gotta bring lil missy to singapore's version of aquaria

for malaysians, the admission fee was rm35 for adults, and rm25 for kids 3yrs - 12 yrs old. gosh, expensive lar! haiyah, as hubs said not everyday mah... so go lor... cekik darah!

lil missy had fun running around going "oooooh aaaah eeeeek". we loitered around the front area of aquaria cus we were waiting for the piranha's feeding time which was 4pm. hubs was so looking forward to it, me? not interested haha! they fed some big fishes, and it took those piranha few minutes to whack the whole fishy. a lady even asked me "did they feed the piranha dead fish or live fish?"... it was dead fishes if you wanna know

i love the otters we saw, they were soooooooooo adorable. then we walkabout to see more insects, beetles, snakes, frogs, and not so cute beings. hahaha...

fun weekend

over the raya weekend, we went back to melaka as what we normally would, whenever there is a public holiday. this time around, a longer weekend for us ^o^ me & lil missy did not go to any shopping malls! can you believe it! i can't! hahahaha! probably when it comes to public holiday, melaka will be jammed up to the brim, mountains of people & cars everywhere, so grandpa & grandma also lazy wanna go out.

me & hubs, with uncle rob & sasha did went out bringing lil missy to a local fun fair! eeeeeeek, never thot i would kinda enjoy seeing the lil missy enjoy in places like this, dirty, crowded but what the heck, just go only lar!

the ferris wheel looks like not so safe, reluctantly i let lil missy go along, cus she was insisting for a ride in it. can see her face changes when the ferris wheel was turning kinda fast, and the nearby music was blasting like some techno disco! dammit! luckily she still can smile after the ride with sasha. phew!

then being the dungus, we went and spend some money to play few of the fun fair games, u know those throwing the rings, throwing the lil ping pong balls, hopping that it will hit the right number and us getting the fluffiest soft toy around! hahaha... never! instead we got some lousy stationery packs and some toys for lil missy! but... we kinda enjoy the moment, the moment we use to have when we were kids ourself coming to funfair!

overall it was a fun time over at the funfair

my mom decided to make steamboat for lunch cus everyone was around, so it was time for walloping food and more food. i ate so much over this long weekend, my tummy is getting rounder! omg... how laaaaaaaaah!

i manage to take a time out with hubs, and few other frens to catch resident evil : afterlife too, in 3D this time. the spec is really annoying for a specky like me. the movie was OKlar, a bit too much over yeng edi. hahahaha... nevertheless, milla jovovich is still a babe! after the late night movie, we popped over to a club to party the nite away, this time i got home around 3am cus my dad was already calling hubs. hehehehe!

i am not surprised if mostly thought it was a baby that i lost due to my previous post. no! no! no! choy choy choy! thanks for all your comforting comments though, really appreciate it. it was about a condo unit we nearly bought but due to some unforeseen stuff, the unit was sold off to another buyer. dang!

u see, this house was put for sale by the owners, whom both the husband & wife has already divorced. so the husband has his own agent, and the wife has her own agent. we went thru the wife's agent, paid deposit and all, only to find out 1 day later, the house was already sold off by the husband's agent! we were soooooooo pissed! what is this lar, not professional at all! anyway, hubs told me, nevermind that we did not get to buy this unit, fengshui not so good, they divorce edi... yikes!

the good news is, there are other units available for sale, so at this moment, we are looking at another unit, higher floors with the amazing view, so we are praying hard this purchase comes to reality! if we succeed in buying this property, we can plan for renovation, plan for new furnitures for the house, and importantly plan for house warming party! There is a BBQ pit at the gorgeous looking poolside ready for house owners to have some fun, and i might think of getting this BBQ grills which comes with good looking BBQ Grill covers. If that isn't enuf, we could also choose from those nice grill covers available online. i can almost imagine the yummy-licious barbecued food waiting...

i'm using their body shampoo & lotion now
and they really smells sooooo nice
even my hair, is so smooth after using

so this is really worth it!

let's write about happy stuff for myself to read next time. those "fever" post is getting more these days over here, sigh... what to do, just gotta be strong & pray for lil missy to grow up healthily! that's all that matters to us. to have a happy healthy child. which parents don't ey?

previous weekend was spent going here & there. morning was to midvalley to drop by to the parenthood expo to grab the Lego box set which i saw fellow blogger yvonne posted about her purchase in her FB status. unfortunately it was all finished sapu-ed on the 1st day itself. bumped into shopping queen mommy at the expo as well, all by herself tengah shiok shopping. hehe!

after midvalley, we then head off to pavilion to meet up with some office frens of mine for dinner over in lot10. the rest of the gang went for wine tasting, while 3 of us head off to walk-about in pavilion for a bit before dinner. we were then stopped by the fashion police for a snapshot. hahaha... does it mean i look like an ah-so, so kena stopped by them? lil missy got a lil gift from them, how nice...

we had steamboat at shabu one in lot10. the spread was good, and the place was full house. good thing my fren did reservation. there were 7 adults incl lil missy. i didn't really eat properly as lil missy was fussing, picky eater, don't want to eat this, don't want to eat that, made me all geram and forgot to enjoy my food most of the time

thru out the dinner, we talked & eat till we all can't take in anymore food. as you can see the before and after picture below, quite scary. never take too much food when u go to a eat-all-u-can steamboat thinking you can finish off what u have taken, big mistake! nevertheless, we manage to stuff ourself silly, thanks to the guys who helped DBKL-ed the food till the last piece!

lil missy is down with fever again. it has been a normal thing for us now since she has started kindy + daycare earlier this year. seems like both of me & daddy is immune to this scenario, but i would be lying if i tell you, we are not worried sick, who wouldn't isn't it?

her fever was so high up to 39.6c and i always freak and i think more wrinkles are coming out. then at night, i would wind my alarm to wake up every 2 hours to check on her. she would be sleeping in the middle of us, daddy will be holding her hand, and somehow my leg will be touching hers, just to get a feel of her temperature. on our bedside table, lies the ear thermometer waiting to be used every half an hour, i hope it doesn't go KO soon, as it has been giving us a peace of mind each time we uses it. sigh. tell me which parents haven't gone thru the above scenario? it's all part of the parcel when we sign up for a kid -_-
